Prisons mentoring gets going
Following the recent launch of our Young Muslim Offenders Mentoring Programme, Mosaic is delighted to announce that our first mentoring relationships are now underway. The first of these relationships have been forged at HMYOI Rochester in Kent and at HMP Wormwood Scrubs in London.

The BBC generously hosted the first Media Network event of 2010. Around 150 guests arrived at the BBC Television Centre to hear from Aaqil Ahmed, Chair of Mosaic's Media Network and Commissioning Editor and Head of Religion at the BBC, about both the BBC's work on diversity and about the Media Network's plans and offerings for the year ahead, including media internships.

A national competition aiming to inspire British school children to pursue careers in science and engineering has been launched in a partnership between the highly successful 1001 Inventions and Mosaic. The Young Inventors Competition for Schools 2010 will be an opportunity for British youngsters to offer creative solutions to everyday problems and will run during Spring/Summer 2010.

On Tuesday 9th March 6 teams from Mosaic schools around the UK took part in the grand final of the 2010 Apax Partners - Mosaic Enterprise Challenge. The victorious Manchester Academy were awarded their trophy and a cheque for £3,000 by Evan Davis, presenter of Dragon's Den, and Khawar Mann of Apax Partners.
