Primary School children learn about life at top London University

Children from Malorees Junior School in Brondesbury Park and Thomas Buxton School in Tower Hamlets in London were given a unique opportunity to visit University College London as part of Mosaic’s Primary School Programme.
Twenty Four girls from the schools and their mothers took take part in a day long visit organised by UCL and Mosaic and lead by UCL Student Ambassadors. Students were taken around the Campus by university Ambassadors and had an opportunity to interview students and ask why they decided to study their chosen subjects.
The students were also treated to tour UCL's Grant Museum of Zoology Museum where they had the opportunity to explore and collect fossils that dated 50 million years. Afterwards, they had an exciting treasure hunt around the university accompanied by the mothers and Mosaic mentors.
The day ended with the girls sharing their experience with the group and the winner of the treasure hunt being chosen.
