This exciting event’s theme is “Making it Happen”, in line with the International Women’s Day theme of 2015, and will feature personal insights from three very successful women in business: Ruby McGregor-Smith CBE, Farida Gibbs and Shazia Saleem, who are all on different parts of their journeys.
Ruby McGregor-Smith CBE is the Chief Executive of Mitie Group plc, the strategic outsourcing company.
She joined Mitie in 2002 and was appointed as CEO in 2007. She is one of a small number of women holding the position of Chief Executive in the FTSE 250 or FTSE 100 and is the first Asian woman to be appointed in such a role within that group of companies.
Farida Gibbs is the CEO of GibbsS3, a globally certified woman-owned business enterprise.
Headquartered in Surrey with offices in London and Cheshire, Gibbs S3 has become an international provider of IT Staffing, Business Change and Project Solutions with operations in the US and Europe. Gibbs S3 serves as a Tier 1 supplier to FTSE100 clients and is ranked 7th largest global diversity firm in the US.
Shazia Saleem is the founder of ‘ieat foods’, the first British ready meals brand offering halal dishes likes pies, pasta and pizza prepared in accordance with Islamic law.
The young food entrepreneur’s business, founded in October 2013, aims to give Muslims in the UK more choice about their food.
