Mosaic is proud to announce that two of its supporters have been recognised as ambassadors and role models for the next generation of women by two separate national “inspirational women” awards.
It was revealed that Mosaic Board Member Farida Gibbs had been recognised in the ‘Brummell Inspirational Women of the Year’ list. Every September, Brummell showcases the most successful women currently working in the City and, this year, the focus is on entrepreneurs.
A true inspiration to other women (and men), the list features 30 visionaries who have shown originality in their ideas and are not averse to taking both personal and material risks.
Farida is the CEO of GibbsS3, Europe’s fastest-growing IT staffing and consultancy firm.
Already a multi- award winner in other women’s achievement awards, we are very proud to have Farida on the Mosaic Network Board as well as the Mosaic Centre of Excellence for Women’s Entrepreneurship advisory board.
At the same time, Noor Ali who is a member of the Mosaic Yorkshire Regional Leadership Group and who has mentored at a number of schools with Mosaic, was among a handful of winners at the annual ‘Specsavers Everywoman in Retail Ambassadors 2014’ awards, and picked up her accolade at a glittering ceremony in London earlier this week.
Noor joined Morrisons in 2012 as World Foods Manager and was tasked with re-launching their ethnic food range to include foods which reflect its diverse customer base.
Her success has seen Morrisons increase its year-on-year ethnic food sales by 146%, a fantastic result that was made possible by Noor immersing herself into understanding what the customer wanted, which saw her grow the category from 500 lines to over 1,350.
Mosaic’s National Director, Jonathan Freeman is highly delighted with these latest announcements and said:
“The work of Mosaic is only possible with the help of our Board members and supporters who all put to one side their job titles and roles in society to work as one. Their determination to come together to achieve a single vision to improve the lives of the younger generation is what makes Mosaic what it is.
“I offer both Noor and Farida many congratulations on behalf of the whole network and thank them for their continued support.”
