Media Network's First Training Day

Channel 4 hosted the Mosaic Media Network's first training event on Tuesday 21st October.

14 individuals and members of the Media Network from various media professions successfully applied to take part in the broadcasting workshop. The day began with a presentation and Q&A session with a panel of 7 of those involved in the highly successful programme Skins, from marketing to research and legal.

This was followed by a brainstorming techniques session and then a presentation from Andrew Mackensie, Commissioning Editor of Factual Entertainment before breaking for lunch.

The afternoon saw the group break down into 2 smaller groups who spent time with Heads of Development from Zig Zag, 20:20, Ricochet and Wildcard who helped them develop some great Factual Entertainment programme ideas that were pitched to Andy Mackensie at the end of the day.

Many thanks to Channel 4 for hosting this fantastic event and Aaqil Ahmed (chair of the Media Network), and we look forward to working with more organisations on future Media Network sessions.
