More than five million people live in the West Midlands, a region at the heart of the UK comprising the counties of Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire; the unitary authorities of Herefordshire, Stoke-on-Trent and Telford & Wrekin; and the seven metropolitan districts of Birmingham, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton. The West Midlands is a diverse and vibrant region and has the second highest Muslim population in the UK at 14% of the total, second only to London.

Mosaic West Midlands was officially launched on Wednesday 13th May 2009, when we welcomed over 130 guests, distinguished speakers and exciting performers to the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra Centre.

Mosaic's Regional Leadership Group in the West Midlands is led by Co-Chairmen, Najma Hafeez and Dr Tahir Abbas. They, along with 20 other dedicated and committed individuals, support the governance of Mosaic, and full details of key supporters can be found here.

Mosaic supports local secondary schools by providing them with highly successful and professional mentors from the local business community. These mentors work with young people, aged 11 - 18 to help them raise aspirations and achieve their goals.
