Please note that the international programme is now being delivered by Prince’s Trust International.
Mosaic’s International Leadership Programme (ILP) began in 2009 to help develop leadership skills, highlight global issues and equip young people to become involved in their local community.
With generous support from Zain Jordan and the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID), Mosaic is for the first time delivering an in-country version of the ILP.
The Mosaic Leadership Programme: Jordan (MLP:JO) is a legacy of the ILP Summit 2015 which was held in Amman, Jordan and will seek to emulate the success of the conference and the achievements of the participants.
This exciting new programme commenced with the MLP:JO Summit in Amman from Thursday 17 March – Monday 21 March 2016.
The MLP:JO is a year-long programme and aims to enable young people to make the transition from education to the workplace and to become active citizens on a local, national and global level.
The key areas of skills development are:
- To develop leadership ability and an aspiration to be an agent of change;
- To develop an understanding of key global issues and inspire positive thinking to address them;
- To equip delegates to become an active and positive part of their community.
About the programme
The MLP:JO replicates the structure of the ILP conference creating an interactive, diverse and engaging programme. It commenced with a Leadership Summit in Amman in which 50 aspiring young leaders resident in Jordan and aged 25-35 will participate in a five day non-residential training conference.
The summit consisted of leadership skill workshops, inspirational speakers and also visits to local projects to demonstrate leadership in action. This unique experience in which 50 young representatives from Jordan came together to discuss key global issues was a platform for them to start cultivating ideas and implementing actions to tackle key global issues.
Following the summit each delegate is matched with a Mosaic mentor who will support them in turning their ideas into actions. The mentors will guide them over the following 12 months to design and deliver an action plan.
In order to deliver the Programme, Mosaic is also recruiting for 50 Jordanian mentors to support the delegates deliver their action plan in their local communities.
