We are delighted to announce that this year’s finalists, beating very stiff competition from 3,000 other students in 84 schools, are:
Beechwood School, Slough
Carr Manor Community School, Leeds
Handsworth Wood Girls’ Academy, Birmingham
Slough & Eton College, Slough
Southfields Academy, London
The students are among just five teams to reach the final of the 2013 Apax-Mosaic Enterprise Challenge. Our congratulations go to the students, their schools and the 300+ Mosaic business mentors who have supported the students on their journey so far.
Jonathan Freeman, National Director of Mosaic said: “Each and every year, we are astonished by the sheer creativity and enterprise these young people display. We are looking forward to a fantastic finals event with Jamal Edwards and our other special guests. We look forward once again to seeing the students present their ideas at the final and seeing the winners develop their business.”
The Grand Finals will take place on 21st March at international law firm Hogan Lovells in London where the finalists will do battle for a top prize of £2500 cash for their school, plus £500 seed funding to turn their business idea into reality. SBTV entrepreneur and face of Google Chrome, Jamal Edwards, is this year’s Guest of Honour.
