Monday 14 July was the last session of mentoring with Webster School, Jackie Murray, Sarah Logan and myself.
This was the penultimate session with the girls, coming towards the end of the program. The theme for the session was citizenship, mapping out what it takes to be a good citizen.
This week’s session was about communication skills, how we communicate with people and how we can improve communication.
The challenge for this session, themed on doing your best, was to think of a fun activity that everyone could take part in and that would be a reflection on how we all do our best in daily life.
The mantras they came up with were a mix of dealing with your fears, ‘It’s just a dream’, and reaffirming your confidence.
Monday 2 June was our second session with Webster Primary school group of girls and their Mothers. We ran two sessions to make up for missing a session in their half term last week. The first session was about People and Communities, and the second session was about Role Models.
Today was my first session as a Mosaic Primary School Mentor, which took place at Webster Primary School, Greenheys, just a ten minute walk from the busy Oxford Road in Manchester.
