Following on from the Better Community Business Network (BCBN) Network dinner in September 2012, Mosaic National Director Jonathan Freeman was delighted to receive a cheque for £100K from BCBN on 16th January 2013.
BCBN is an initiative created by an informal group of local and national businessmen and professionals who have come together to support local community projects that make a real difference in the communities they serve. Mosaic’s Jonathan Freeman commented:”Mosaic is thrilled to have received such generous support from the Better Community Business Network event. Thanks to this support, we will be able to help many more hundreds of young people from the most deprived communities to realise their potential. A huge thank you to the event organisers and all those individuals who gave so generously at the event.”
BCBN’s donation will support Mosaic’s service delivery in the London Region by:
- providing mentoring support for 1100 disadvantaged children and young people
- supporting and working with 32 primary and secondary schools
- recruiting, training and managing 220 volunteer mentors.
Mosaic has supported over 10,000 children and young people across the UK since its founding by HRH The Prince of Wales in November 2007.
The cheque presentation and networking event was held at the Communities and Local Government Building in London and was attended by The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government Rt Hon Eric Pickles MP. Also present was MP Sadiq Khan and Tariq Usmani, Chairman of BCBN and CEO of Henley Homes plc (pictured with Mosaic’s Jonathan Freeman).
