Bradford City Football Club, led by Captain Zeeshan Rehman who is a Mosaic member in Yorkshire, showed their gratitude to the hundreds of supporters who cleared the pitch for their recent match by heading to Dixons Allerton Academy to clean the school grounds, making it safer and more accessible.
On Tuesday, Bradford City Fans showed up in their hundreds to offer their support to clear up the pitch in time for the afternoon match, which as a result could still go ahead.
As captain of the team, Zeeshan felt it necessary for his team to give something back to the community as a way of saying thank you to the public whom took the time out to clear the pitch on Tuesday.
The school, which benefits from Mosaic mentoring, was re-opened and Zeeshan and three other players were welcomed by the principle and vice principle, Sajid Hussain, as well as many other staff members.
Students were able to spend time with the players and ask questions, during which time the players were able to help them with issues such as motivation.
The players also joined in a badminton practice session with the after school badminton team members. This was a great session which the students were very grateful to have had such personal time with the players.
