He did it! Del Hossain ran a very respectable 4 hours and 53 minutes in Sunday’s Virgin London Marathon as Mosaic’s first London Marathon Man.
We’ve been following Del’s training efforts over these past weeks on the Mosaic Blog. He has trained in the rain, snow and ice and finally completed his 2013 London Marathon in glorious Spring Sunshine. Well done Del!
This was the first time one of our mentors had used the London Marathon as a platform to raise money for Mosaic. The run will undoubtedly help to raise our profile, so that we can support even more young people.
Mosaic’s National Director, Jonathan Freeman commented: “We are all so proud of Del’s achievement. He has trained so hard and ran a fantastic race, raising not only funds for Mosaic’s work with disadvantaged young people, but also awareness of the work we do in deprived communities. I was delighted to hear that Del’s post-marathon breakfast consisted of Chinese noodles! He should be well on his way to recovery.”
The run may be over, but you can sponsor Del until 30 June 2013 BT MyDonate page.
