Enterprise Challenge 2013/2014 officially launched in the North West on 23rd September. The event was generously hosted by BBC North West in Salford.
With the Apax-Mosaic Enterprise Challenge now entering its fifth year, we are now well and truly into planning the Regional finals of the 2013/2014 competition, which will take place during March 2014.
The prestigious panel of judges included: star of BBC’s Dragon’s Den and iTeddy entrepreneur, Imran Hakim, North West Entrepreneur of the Year and founder chairman of IT firm ANS Group, Scott Fletcher and former Apprentice star and Entrepreneur Azhar Siddique.
Nazir Afzal, Chair of the Mosaic North West Regional Leadership Group and also Chief Crown Prosecutor for North West England, said of Enterprise Challenge:
“It’s building entrepreneurial skills while pupils get the benefit of the advise and experience of high calibre business mentors. Each team is tasked with building a business, writing an ethical business strategy, pitching their business ideas in a Dragons’ Den style event, and also thinking about issues affecting businesses on a day to day basis from revenues, profits, gross margin to looking at environmental factors. It’s getting them to think outside the box.
“The Enterprise Challenge has been a huge success to date and we’re looking forward to our next challenge!”
