The Apax-Mosaic Enterprise Challenge training is about to get under way across our 5 regions – and it’s not too late to get involved by signing up as a mentor today!
The Enterprise Challenge is an annual competition for UK secondary school pupils who are teamed with a volunteer mentor to help them create a winning business idea. The aim of the challenge is to help young people learn important life and entrepreneurial skills through a business simulation game.
During the Enterprise Challenge pupils, aged between 11 and 16, learn about business in a fun and engaging way. The activities also help support the schools learning curriculum, as well as providing a chance for schools to win a £2,500 prize, as well as £500 to help the students launch their winning business idea.
Becoming a mentor can be a very rewarding experience and helps to develop personal and professional skills. Mosaic works in partnership with a wide and diverse range of corporate partners to help recruit and train volunteer mentors to help deliver its work.
The mentor’s role is to support, encourage and help guide youngsters during the competition to find the most profitable and achievable business plan. By giving-up just six hours of your time during the 12-week programme, you can have a huge impact on young people’s lives.
