Members of Mosaic’s Associate team were treated to an evening of world-class eating recently in recognition of all their hard work in support of the charity. The event was hosted by high-profile chef and Mosaic supporter Vivek Singh at his lauded Cinnamon Kitchen restaurant in London.
Vivek inspired the Associates with a talk about his journey from rural India to the high end restaurant trade in London and, of course, guided them through a wondrous tasting of some of his incredible dishes.
As well as being a proud Mosaic supporter, Vivek also runs ‘world of work’ visits to his restaurants, giving young people from deprived backgrounds the chance to see how such a place is run in the hope that some of them might be inspired to pursue a career in luxury catering.
Uzair Bawany, Mosaic Board member and Associate attended the event and commented: “Vivek is a great Mosaic supporter and his journey to success is a great story to inspire our mentees. It also helps us to show young students today that there are many ways to succeed in life and to think creatively when considering career prospects”
