Mosaic is delighted to announce that Board member Shabir Randeree has been recognised in HM The Queen’s New Year’s Honours List. Shabir has been awarded a CBE in recognition of his services to both business and education, as well as for his philanthropic support of charitable causes.
Shabir Randeree is Executive Chairman of DCD Group with over 25 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate, Venture Capital, Finance and Banking. He is also the Deputy Chairman of Al Baraka Bank South Africa and a founding director of BankIslami. Shabir served as Chairman and founding director at European Islamic Investment Bank plc (2006-12) and as founding director at Islamic Bank of Britain plc (2003-07).
Shabir sits as an Advisor to the current Coalition Government’s Asia Task Force. He served on the Labour Government’s Ethnic Minorities Business Task Force, chairing the Access to Finance Committee (2007-09). Shabir co-founded Edutrust, a multi Academy sponsor. As well as serving on Mosaic’s national Board, Shabir is also a supporter of The Three Faiths Forum and is a Governor at The Westminster Academy School, London.
Shabir co-chairs the London Business School’s Young Presidents’ Organisation Programme and devotes significant time mentoring young entrepreneurs. He graduated in Finance from Kingston University and also has a MBA, followed by executive training at Harvard and LBS, where he is an Alumni.
