Mentors, mentees and supporters from London and the South East gathered recently to celebrate Mosaic’s first mid-year-event as part of The Prince’s Trust. The “Mosaic Connect” event was a chance to reflect on a busy and successful six months of mentoring in the region.
Representatives from all of Mosaic’s mentoring programmes, in primary schools, secondary schools, including the Enterprise Challenge, and prisons had the opportunity to share their experiences while for Mosaic this was a chance to say a huge thank you to all mentors for their hard work and dedication.
Mosaic’s work in London and the South-East region continues to grow and in the 2016/17 academic year, more young people than ever are being given the help and inspiration they need to have high expectations for their future.
Keynote speaker was 2 star Michelin chef Atul Kochhar and the event also featured an appearance from last year’s Enterprise Challenge champions, the Team S-MART from Eden Girls School in Waltham Forest.
Mosaic’s Regional Manager in London and the South-East Robyn Brown said: “Events such as this are so important as they give us the chance to say thank you to our wonderful mentors for freely giving up their time in support of young people. Without their efforts, Mosaic simply wouldn’t exist. Here’s to the next decade of changing lives for the better!”
