Last night saw a second of our Mosaic Connect Events series take place in Yorkshire. The evening was generously hosted at DLA Piper LLP Leeds and saw Mosaic supporters, beneficiaries, friends and patrons come together to learn and hear first-hand from all those involved about the magic of Mosaic.
All those in attendance enjoyed an evening of networking and celebration as well as a special performance from Enterprise Challenge 2018 Runners-Up Team Well Kitchen from Dixon Kings Academy, mentor Victoria Beever and Usman Akthar, mentee and part of the Enterprise Challenge 2017 National third place Team ElectroFit.
Recently recognised with an MBE in the Queens Honours List, Chief Superintendent Mabs Hussain MBE was keynote speaker on the evening and took part in a candid Q&A by students from Swallow Hill Chloe, Amy and Jay.
Former Mosaic mentee, Usman Akthar said:
“The mentoring scheme has encouraged me so much that in the future I would like to be a part of the scheme to help students boost their confidence and encourage them to aim high. The mentoring programme will allow me to give back to the community.”
These regional celebration and networking events aim at bringing together and connecting the different components that make the Mosaic Initiative and the Mosaic mentoring programmes at The Prince’s Trust such a success across our regions.
