At the end of 2012 Mosaic was involved in the making of Young People Speak, a powerful TV film involving the Oscar Award winning actor Colin Firth.
Channel 4’s Young People Speak follows the journey of a group of young people as they prepare for – and make – important and challenging public speeches that are important to their lives, their friends or their communities.
The first episode of Young People Speak was broadcast on Channel 4 on Monday 14th January and the episode followed Ataulla Shegiwal (pictured), who was mentored by Mosaic’s Chairman, Khawar Mann. Ataulla was supported in the preparation for his speech by Azhar, one of Mosaic’s mentors in London, a member of the London Regional Leadership Group and an Associate.
The programme follows Ataulla’s preparation for his speech at our 5th Anniversary reception at Apax Partners.
Watch this inspiring film on 4OD.
