Mosaic is delighted to be working in partnership with InterChange Training and Development to provide quality training and resources to Mosaic volunteer mentors.
InterChange was appointed following a tender process, and training sessions began in September, immediately receiving great feedback from new and experienced Mosaic mentors.
Since then, training sessions have been delivered in every Mosaic region and across the Primary School programme, Apax-Mosaic Enterprise Challenge, and the Secondary Group mentoring programme. New resource packs have also been launched across all programmes.
Here are some of the enthusiastic comments we have received from mentors about the new training sessions:
- “Fantastic training – lively, engaging, fun, informative, challenging and sensible exercises, v. useful and inspiring!”
- “This training could be great for teachers working with students one to one”
- “GROW coaching approach is incredible and I will definitely use it in life, with friends, family and myself!”
Volunteer mentors are at the heart of Mosaic’s ability to inspire young people. Kim O’Reilly, Mosaic’s Senior Operations Manager, says: “This year, Mosaic’s programmes will reach more young people than ever. This would not be possible without the huge number of volunteer mentors who give their time, skills and enthusiasm so generously. Supporting our mentors in therefore of the greatest importance, and we are thrilled to be working with InterChange to deliver a high quality training programme.”
InterChange is a social enterprise and registered charity with over twenty years of experience providing dynamic training and development to public and private sector organisations, social enterprises and charities.
Training and Development Manager, Karen Tidsall, says: “InterChange relishes this fantastic opportunity to equip volunteers with the mentoring skills needed to inspire young people to achieve great things. We enjoy working with the Mosaic team and particularly appreciate the creative flow between us.”
Mosaic has invested significantly in this training programme, but it remains free of charge for mentors. There is a training calendar with sessions throughout the year – please contact us for more details on 020 7566 8734.
