The new Youth Panel will provide a fabulous vehicle to put the voices of young people right at the heart of Mosaic.
Mosaic is launching a new Youth Panel in 2014 to ensure that we listen to young people’s opinions as we shape Mosaic’s activities.
We will ask the Panel for their advice on a range of matters from helping develop Mosaic’s programmes, to guiding future organisational strategy.
The Panel will comprise of young people who have recently participated in or are currently participating in Mosaic’s secondary school programme.
A call for Panellists is now open, and current Mosaic schools are being asked to nominate a student who would be enthusiastic about contributing to Mosaic’s programmes and activities.
Jonathan Freeman, Mosaic’s Managing Director said:
“Involving young people directly in Mosaic’s work through the Youth Panel is a very exciting step for us.
“We have always sought to have a dialogue with the young people with which we work and the new Youth Panel will provide a fabulous vehicle to put the voices of young people right at the heart of Mosaic.
“We are especially delighted to be doing this as part of our pledge to Step Up to Serve, an initiative of our founder, HRH The Prince of Wales, to encourage more young people to commit to social action.”
Nominations for the Panel are open until Friday 14 November 2014. The successful panellists will be informed of their success by Friday 14 November, and publicly announced soon afterwards.
The inaugural meeting of the Mosaic Youth Panel will be held in December.
