HRH The Prince of Wales will announce that HRH Princess Badiya bint El Hassan of Jordan will be awarded the inaugural Naz Legacy Foundation Honorary Education Fellowship at the Annual Naz Legacy Foundation Reception on 24th April 2013.
The award will be presented to HRH Princess Badiya by Mayor of London, Boris Johnson at City Hall in London in recognition of Princess Badiya’s work as Founder Chairman of HRH The Prince of Wales’ Mosaic programme. The Prince of Wales will make the announcement via a recorded video message.
The Princes of Wales’ video message will be showcased at the event on 24th April and will be available to view on Mosaic’s website after the event.
This will be a high profile event with senior educationalists, community leaders, politicians and philanthropists attending.
In his video message The Prince of Wales will speak of his pleasure in having the opportunity to congratulate the Naz Legacy Foundation on its work to promote excellence in education and how grateful he is that one of the three charitable causes supported by the Foundation is The Prince’s own Mosaic initiative.
Boris Johnson, Mayor of London commented on the event: “I look forward to congratulating everyone at the Naz Legacy Foundation for the fantastic work they do. The fact that they have helped fund raise almost £1m in the last year helping charities working in deprived communities in London and supporting a fantastic mentoring charity like Mosaic is much appreciated.”

At the event, HRH Princess Badiya will also announce three new significant donors who have agreed to support Mosaic’s work: DLA Piper LLP, Majid & Lynn Jafar, and the COSARAF Foundation.
