Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis, Chief Rabbi-Designate, addressed a meeting in which Muslim youth leaders from across the country were invited. This historic event organised at the Finchely Synagogue in London involved over 100 Muslim youth leaders from across the UK including women and community seniors. Mosaic Board members and other supporters were invited to this unique engagement event.
Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis said: “We were honoured to host such an important and historic event at Finchley Synagogue. The values that united people from the Jewish and Muslim faiths are stronger then any values which may divide us. I found the open questions both insightful and promising to strengthen our two communities relationships further.”
Shabir Randeree CBE, Chairman of Mosaic Associates said: “It was an amazing opportunity to visit one of London’s most beautiful synagogues. We were enlightened about just how much Muslims and Jews have in common and it was an amazing opportunity to meet Rabbi Mirvis, who was engaging, impressive and a wonderful host.”
