A group of students from Westminster City School and Brondesbury College for Boys in London were given a unique opportunity to visit the HR Owen Ferrari service centre.
Maz Majid, a member of Mosaic London Regional Group organised the visit which included a visit to the show room and a special lunch where they were able to speak to staff including their apprentices about the company, the cars as well as what interested and motivated them in their roles. They also has an opportunity to ask about their prospects of obtaining a work experience placement.
Owen Rothwell, Marketing Manager of H.R. Owen PLC commented about the day, ‘Have to say we all thoroughly enjoyed it and would happily do it again.
A student at Westminster City School who rated the visit 4/5 commented “I have learnt how to get my goal. The best bit was when I got to sit inside a Ferrari because it was the first time I had ever been inside”
A teacher at Westminster City School commented “[Students] were motivated and made to think about having the right attitude in order to attain their desired standard of living. The briefing by Tony, Owen, Maz and the apprentice [was the most useful part of the visit] because it made them reflect upon the little changes they need to make to get to where they want to.”
