
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mosaic Officer to support the Regional Manager in the implementation and delivery of Mosaic’s mentoring programmes across the South East areas – Slough, Bracknell, Woking, Oxford, Milton Keynes, Luton.
Founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2007, Mosaic’s mentoring programmes create opportunities for young people growing up in our most deprived communities. Our programmes are delivered by volunteers, and lift the aspirations of young people and close the gap between those aspirations and their attainment.
The Mosaic Officer will have responsibility for the day to day implementation and delivery of the programme and other activities in the sub-regions in line with Mosaic’s strategy and Business Plans.
Main responsibilities of the role include; supporting the Regional Manager with the recruitment and support of schools and prisons to host the programmes; supporting the Regional Manager with the recruitment of mentors, and providing ongoing point of contact and support to those mentors and event management of networking and regional events and school World of Work visits.
The successful candidate will have project management experience, ability to work to deadlines and experience of working with and presenting to, a range of stakeholders from different sectors and industries at all levels.
Experience of working with schools and/or with the education system and knowledge of issues facing young Muslims in the UK and South East area are particularly desirable.
This is a full-time (35 hours per week), fixed term contract until February 2017.
